“SUCCESS IN 10 STEPS”

A caller recently told me he’s joining an MLM company because they promised him spillover. I said, “They are lying to you!”
The guy called me back later and said, “I point-blank asked them if I’d get people put underneath me, and the guy said, Well, we can’t guarantee that.’”
Spillover – Creating a Welfare Mentality
Good people don’t want welfare. They want to build it themselves. They just want to learn the skills they need to build this business and create residual income, money that’s coming in week after week, year after year, and they can will it to their children’s children.
When you look at a lot of network marketing websites, you often see that word “spillover.” The proposition, more or less, is, “get in now, today, and you’ll get all this spillover.”
In 27 years, I have never, ever, ever seen anybody get spillover, having somebody build it for them.
And if you look closely at the compensation plans of the companies that promote spillover, you’ll find out that those who get spillover usually don’t get paid on it. There are other hoops to jump through to get paid on that spillover, and these people rarely ever qualify.
So it’s the person who actually does the work who gets the pay what a novel idea!
Companies & reps use “spillover” as a tool to drag in people who think they can build a business without doing any work. In other words, no sponsoring, no recruiting. It targets that type of person.

When You Say “Spillover”, You Are Targeting Quitters!
When you see a network marketing company that promotes spillover on their website, they’re looking for welfare-minded people. The problem for you is, you can’t build with these people, unless YOU do all the work! That’s what they expect. And when you don’t build their business, they’ll be off somewhere else, looking for a better welfare plan.
So really, when you or your company promote spillover, you are targeting people who will not be with you long-term. And in network marketing, that makes absolutely no sense. The failure rate will be 100%.

And Here’s Why The Leads You Buy Tell You To Go Pound Sand!
The quickest way to build a huge list is to offer the moon and require nothing (no money, no work, no purchase) in return. You’ll see companies promoting “we’ve signed up more people faster than anybody else in the history of network marketing.” Problem is, there’s nobody ordering any product. It’s just a bunch of names on a list – but now they can call these people “network marketers.”
Then they turn around and sell this huge database of worthless names (an “MLM genealogy list”) For $10,000 each to 10 different list brokers. BAM! That’s $100,000 profit! And then the list brokers sell these “leads” to all the people in network marketing who want to build their business – including YOU!
So you pay $2-$3 a lead for these people, you call them up, and they tell you, “Hey! You are nuts! I’ve never been in network marketing!” They don’t even know what it is. They just opted in to some pie-in-the-sky list, hoping to get something for nothing.
Conclusion? Run like heck from any company focused on “spillover” – and ALWAYS generate your own leads.

Hello my friends today I would like to ask you a few questions. A few days ago I saw a mail form one of my friends on FB that said “please STOP sending me mails about MLM, I’m not interested!!”. So I wondered just how many of the groups I belong to are REALLY trying to help.
So my first step was to see all the groups I belong to and then see how many REALLY care about me or are they just trying to make money from me!! I belong to 235 groups, go to my profile page and see the list. Now a small % of the groups I belong to are my fellow MFF team members. Most I joined because I am searching for the people that really believe in network marketing, not direct sales, gifting programs, matrix’s that have no real consumable product or programs that are selling info or making money from people USING web sites. A good portion of the above are not legal, no matter what you have been told.

I am personally involved in health and wellness. This industry is and will continue to be the leader in network marketing. While there are many companies and products the real problems lie in policies and procedures, and that’s a fact!

Here’s how we see it…

Our favorite part of network marketing is the lifestyle we can live. It is possible to actually live the life of a millionaire and catch this, you don’t have to earn the million dollars first.

By creating a recurring income, you can actually live the “Lifestyle of The Rich & Famous” and have it with less stress and more freedom.

Please, keep in mind that recurring income is very different than linear income.

You see, linear income continues only as long as you continue the work. If you are a surgeon, you get paid whenever you perform a surgery; don’t perform a surgery, don’t get paid. If you are a construction worker, you get paid when you work; don’t work for the next 12 months, chances are your employer is not going to pay you. If you drive a bus, you get paid when you drive; quit driving buses, you quit getting paid.

That’s how linear income works. You receive income when you work. When you stop working, the income stops coming.

Recurring income is different. The best way to describe recurring income is that by doing something right just one time, you get paid over and over again for what you did.

Put another way, understand the difference between linear and recurring bills? A linear bill, for example, would be purchasing a television or microwave oven – one payment and the thing lasts for years. Recurring bills are the ones you get every month – telephone, electricity, cable, mortgage, car payment. Would it be OK if you had a recurring income to handle those recurring bills?

Example: Elvis recorded “Love Me Tender” in 1956. Every time it plays on the radio somewhere in the world, Lisa Marie gets a little royalty. Even though Elvis recorded that song over fifty years ago, every month Lisa Marie receives a royalty check from people who play his tune. Elvis did it right one time and now Lisa Marie collects every month.

You will learn how you can live like a millionaire before you become a millionaire if you apply what you learn from “Mentoring for Free.”

In all of life You only get paid for what you DO, not for what you know. However, you have to learn WHAT to do and HOW to do it Right — BEFORE you can get paid for doing it Successfully. You won’t be paid anything if you can not do something correctly. Would you want to have your house built by someone who does not know how to build houses? Would you want to be treated by an untrained doctor?

So, you get paid for what you do if you know how to do it correctly. This is just as true in Network Marketing as it is anywhere else. And there is another factor to consider. The more people you serve the more you get paid. This is true in Network Marketing and elsewhere.

Imagine how much a teacher would be paid if a teacher were paid a small percentage of each student’s earnings every year once that student started working. Now imagine that same teacher receiving that little bit of income from each and every former student for as long as that former student worked and earned an income even after the teacher stopped teaching. That would be a form of recurring income for the teacher.

Another form of recurring income is the interest payments a bank will pay you on your savings account. If you could find a bank that would pay you a 4% interest rate on your savings, you would have to have $3,000,000 in your savings account to receive a recurring income of $10,000 per month.

Is it going to be easier for you to save $3,000,000 out of the linear income from your job? Or is it going to be easier for you to build a Network Marketing business to earn $10,000 per month. That depends on the compensation plan of your Nework Marketing company and their contract with you that specifies what you have to do to be paid and on what you do correctly and how well you do it. So, understanding your company’s compensation plan and their contract requirements are critical first steps to your success.

If you could put $4,400 after taxes into your 4% savings account every month without fail, it will take you 30 years to save $3,000,000 provided that you pay the taxes on the interest payments so that all of the interest payments stay in your savings account and continue to compound. In a good Network Marketing company you should be able to reach the $10,000 per month income level or higher in two to ten years depending on the company and your level of work. Only you know the answer to which way is going to be easier for you.

Here is how.

First, realize the power of recurring income. You do the work once and it keeps coming in month after month. As long as customers keep buying your products you get paid. And you do not have to re-sell those customers over again each and every month. What a concept!

So, here’s how to get the millionaire lifestyle. As you begin to build your Network Marketing Team, little commission checks start to show up in your mailbox each month. Then each month those commission checks grow in relation to the total product volume your Team is creating — this is that extra income you’ve been looking for. Now, rather than spend your extra income on the current object of your desire, You take that extra income and start paying off your debt.

Once you become debt free (No mortgage, No car note, No large Credit Card balances, No time payments at all) and let’s say your check now is at $10,000 a month, Guess What?, you can use that recurring income for what ever you want. Travel, new car, braces for the kids or taking your spouse on wonderful weekend get-a-ways. Now do you see, when you are making $10,000 dollars a month in recurring income, how it’s like having three million dollars in the bank earning at 4% interest?

Well maybe you are saying, “I don’t know what kind of math you are using, but my math tells me that’s $120,000 dollars a year; so where is the three million dollars?”

Okay, here it is: This is $10,000 dollars a month in recurring income. For you to receive $10,000 a month in income that keeps coming in whether you get up and go to work or instead go enjoy the beach with your family, you would have to put $3,000,000 into an investment that gave you a 4% return!

Now, my question to You is, “how many people do you know that can go to the bank and put three million dollars into their account?” My answer is probably the same as yours, “very few.”

In network marketing, it’s easier to produce $10,000 dollars a month than it is to come up with the $3,000,000 dollars to invest at a 4% return.

An average part-time person in network marketing can truly have the “Lifestyle Of The Rich and Famous.” It can be done in 2 to 10 years depending on the effort You apply. You just need to be coachable.

How To Handle Some Tough Prospect Questions brought to you by “LYNDA CROMAR”

Several people have asked questions recently, and I’d like to answer them here.

Most important, you need to understand that I, personally, do not get asked these kind of questions, because I do not target these kinds of people for my business. I don’t talk to people who don’t believe in network marketing.

It’s crucial to your success that you target market. Target the people who already believe in network marketing. Offer them the Success In 10 Steps ebook. And when someone raises their hand for more information, they will NEVER ask you questions like these.

OK. The reality is, not everyone is going to do that. And they will get some tough questions like

Question #1: “How much money did you make in your business?”
So I do coach people on how to answer questions like this. And your response to this question should always be, “I don’t have a clue. I haven’t finished collecting it all yet.”

See, you never know how much of an ongoing ripple effect you’ll get from what you did yesterday and the day before. How can you know how much money you’re going to make when you sponsor somebody into your business?

Today, you’re making $5 a week. Next month, You’re making $50 a week. And the following month, you’re making $500 a week – all from the business-building efforts of that one person you signed up today.

MLM is a business that will pay you a lot next year, and 5 years from now, and 20 years from now – for work you did today. The person asking you this question does not understand the amazing phenomena of getting paid every week for work you did 10 years ago.

Question #2: You’ve just started in network marketing and the person asks, “If this company you’re promoting is so great, then why aren’t you making any money from it?”

Again, this question comes from a person who does not understand or believe in network marketing. And so here you are, in the impossible position of trying to convince this person.

Building any business takes some time to build a network of customers buying your products. Someone says, “Well, a couple years ago, this guy online sold $1 million of a product the first day he offered it.”

And that’s true. But what you lose sight of is that his “opening day” was in the planning stages for many months, as he lined up dozens and dozens of internet marketers – each of whom had a list of thousands of subscribers – to promote his product.

If you trace that “$1 Million Day” to its origin, it goes back many years, to when all these component lists were being built.
Is it possible to make a profit immediately, from your first day? Sure. But you get the greatest network marketing rewards by training others to move your products – a result which will show up big in future paychecks.

Question #3: “Someone likes my company, but would rather join under a Heavy Hitter who knows what They’re doing. How should I respond?”

The problem with joining under a Heavy Hitter is, most of them don’t have time to talk to you. They don’t have time to help you build your business.

Many of them – you’d be astonished to learn just how many – were actually GIVEN most of their organization by the company, to “prove” how big a person can build. And many Heavy Hitters are hard-core salespersons. They do stuff you & I could never do in our wildest dreams (and still sleep at night!).

Heavy Hitters are not into hand-holding. When you sign up with them, they expect you to get to work and build. If you don’t, no problem, there are a hundred others waiting in line behind you to join with a Heavy Hitter.

If you need any kind of coaching, mentoring, or training, most Heavy Hitters will never do that. They consider you “dead wood.” You’re in their way, and you need to be swept aside, in favor of someone who already knows what to do.

As we coach people to be successful, we focus on how you need to build a relationship with people. You can’t ask them to join your business before you have a real relationship with them. It will not work. And if you’re getting Question #3, then you are talking to people with whom you have NOT built a relationship.

If you’re not building a relationship with them, you got no chance. A friend would never choose some “Heavy Hitter” over you. If you’re having that problem, you need to learn the “Colors” technology and focus on making a friend first. That strategy works long-term, it’s easily taught, and it’s something anyone can do.

When you target the market and then talk to people who raise their hand, you will not get these kinds of questions.
Question #4: “I don’t have much money to drive around town looking for prospects. How can I conentrate my efforts to expose people to my MLM Business?”

The problem here is, your upline has got you driving around, trying to pounce on people and slam them into your business.
Network marketing is a relationship business. You should be target-marketing online. It doesn’t cost any gasoline money to do that. You need to

1. Target your ideal market.

2. Get the right people to raise their hand.

3. Build a relationship with them.

4. And when the timing is right for them to be in business, they will call you.

THIS is how success works. You cannot slam people into your MLM business and have any hope of long-term success. Period.

Watch out for your viperous MLM upline! They can get you good.

You need to make it a point to know who your upline is. I just spoke with a lady last night on a 3-way phone call. She was the first woman in this network marketing company who built so quickly that she went to the top of the payplan in 4 months.

Her upline was envious and jealous. And part of her network marketing strategy was NOT to read the company Policies & Procedures. Bad, bad combination.

Before You Ever Join Any Company, Thoroughly Read Your P & Ps

Before this lady built the program, she did tell the company that her fiance was promoting another MLM company.

But guess what? Her company’s Policies & Procedures state that you cannot make any money from another network marketing company – not even an affiliate program! If you violate this provision, you can be terminated.

And these restrictions apply to everyone living in YOUR household!

Now to me, that sounds like you’re an employee. If you’re an MLM independent contractor, how can they put those kinds of restrictions on you?

Anyway, this lady built to the top of the payplan. She was rocking and rolling. Everything was great. She was about to receive a $7,000 bonus check for reaching the top of the payplan – first woman to ever do it -

- and all of a sudden her website is turned off. Everything is shut down. The company didn’t even send her a letter.

Bad News From the Viperous Upline!

Her upline called and told her she was terminated because her fiance was in another program. She had already told the company they weren’t married and that he was in another program. So it had nothing to do with her or her network marketing strategy, but because they lived in the same household, the company used that lever to get her out of the line of compensation.

The company views 2 people living in the same household as if the two people are the same. And they can do that because it’s in the Policies & Procedures.

Isn’t that amazing?

What are the chances the company would ever find out about this if not for the viperous upline? Because this lady just got terminated, her sponsor inherits her entire organization. It all rolls up.

The Upline Couldnt Build It Themselves ‚ And Now They Don‚t Have To!

I know a number of network marketers who have lost everything, because they never read their Policies & Procedures. Go to your company website right now, and read your P & Ps. You may be astonished at what you find.

FACT: When you joined your company, you checked a box stating that you agreed to abide by each of those P & Ps. But I’ll bet you never actually read them!

Which reminds me of a trap that a lot of network marketing reps fall into. They think, “Well, everybody I know is violating this rule. The company must not care.” Believe me, you can violate any rule you want, so long as you’re not making any money. But once you start to build a significant income, THAT is when it’s worthwhile for your viperous upline – or your company itself – to terminate you for violation of your Policies & Procedures.

At the bottom of page 11 of Success In 10 Steps, you see a reference to “greed and ego.” That gives you another good point to make with your prospect.
Prospects don’t come into this process thinking about “greed & ego”. But if they have experience in MLM, there’s a good chance they’ve already run into the problem. It’s worthwhile pointing out that the greed & ego of sponsors and/or companies is one of the reasons so many prospects are never successful in network marketing.
Let them know how important it is to have their radar up and operating sensitively.
This doesn’t mean you search for some Pollyanna who lives their life only for others. Putting yourself first is the natural order.
What it does mean is that you MUST avoid sponsors whose goal is to be successful no matter who they have to step on. You want someone who is determined to be successful by creating those win-win relationships with others.
A lot of times, you can actually hear this in their voice and in what they say about the business and about others. One of these clowns once told me that 95% of all prospects were dead wood, and he just kicked them out of the way. Not only was he proud of it, but he thought anyone who didn’t do that was a fool. What more could you possibly need to know about this guy?
So you’ve got to watch and listen and train yourself to spot “greed & ego” before you join a company where you are smack-dab in the middle of it. Your best bet is definitely to avoid it from the start. Once you are in a group dominated by the greed and/or ego of its leader(s), you are lost. It’s a situation you must train yourself to see and walk away from.
